Ralph Stintson and Jack Johnson opened the original OK Tire Store in Prince George in 1965. Within two years of going into business, the pair opened two more locations.
Ralph bought out his partner in 1969, two years after hiring George Grose as the store Manager. In 1978 George purchased the business, thriving on the entrepreneurial spirit and customer relationships. Making it a family business, George brought on his son Kevin and later wife Laverne. Moving the store across the street for increased space, George added automotive repair and service to the tire business. George, Laverne and Kevin built a solid business, treating customers fairly and taking pride in their work. In 2008 George and Laverne retired leaving Kevin, along with his wife Trisha, to take over the store.
Proud of the history and excited for the future, Trisha and Kevin invite you to come down to OK Tire Auto Service on 20th Avenue to celebrate and thank you for 50 years of community and business.
