Bulk wood fibre, chips, sawdust, hog fuel, and trim blocks have been Excel's foundation for growth. Our fleet configurations of B-train units, 53' Tridem walking floor units, up to 70 company owned tractors and 50 lease operators provides for flexibility in meeting customer delivery requirements.

Our creative innovations include extended B-trains to maximize efficiencies in hauling light weight Pine Beetle dead wood. Our team of professional drivers, mechanics and support staff are critical to these kinds of innovations. Close ties to our equipment manufacturers enable us to be creative with our configurations and leading edge technologies. We continuously undertake testing situations on oils, lubricants, tire tread patterns and tire life cycles to determine the most cost effective operating methods. Excel uses a state of the art onboard communication system to monitor vehicle location, communicate with vehicles and drivers, view detailed reports on vehicle/driver activity and enable swift reaction to critical events and/or emergencies. This system includes mapping built using the LSD grid system. The mapping system is used for route optimization, security and safety applications as well as tracking vehicles in-transit. While our pursuit of optimizing equipment utilization and haul efficiencies is critical to our success the safety of our employees, the general public and the environment are always paramount in our undertakings.
